Raymond Young, 74, died June 21, 2009. He was born July 26, 1934 in Crescent, Oklahoma to E. Bynum and Pauline (Boland) Young. He served 9 years in the National Guard during the Korean Conflict. He and his wife, Marie Young, are owners of Oklahoma City Florist. Raymond served as a Baptist Minister of Music and Education from 1960-1972, and worked in Hospital Administration as Vice President of Human Resources at St. Anthony Hospital until his retirement in 1991. Ray married Marie Hall in Lubbock, Texas, August 4, 1978. Ray loved the Lord with all his heart and always liked to give and be of service to anyone. The one word that best describes his life is service. He is survived by his wife Marie; children Laree Bomar and husband Wylie, Martin Ray Young and wife Theresa, Jeffrey Len Young, Chris Hall and wife Kim, and Derek Young; sister Judy Langley and husband Phil; brother Hiram Smith; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Wednesday at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Services will be Thursday, June 25, 10:00am at Quail Springs Baptist Church.
