Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Ezra Duncan on March 13, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK. Raymond was born on October 2, 1920, in Sentinel, OK, to Julius and Flora Duncan. He graduated high school from Port School. Raymond enlisted in the US Army Air Corps in 1942 and served in the 487th Bomb Group 836th Bomb Squadron in Lavenham, England as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician on B-17 Bombers during World War II. Upon returning home from the war Raymond spent his career working at Tinker Field (Tinker Air Force Base) and retired as a Program Analyst in 1974. He enjoyed spending his time grafting pecan trees and creating new varieties of pecans, one of which earned him a First-Place ribbon at the Oklahoma State Fair. He loved growing cantaloupe and watermelons while he lived 6 months out of each year in Mission, Texas. His ability to repair items in a "MacGyver-type style" always kept him busy around the house, as he was always tinkering with something. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings; Roy, Josephine, and Helen, granddaughter; Ali Zoth.

He is survived by Daughters Nikki Zoth and Kristi Craft, Son-in-law Donald Craft, grandchildren: Kelli Zoth and Joshua Craft, and many Great- and Great-Great Grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Mercer Adams Funeral Service on March 17, 2024, beginning at 11:00am with family in attendance from 6:00-8:00pm. A graveside funeral service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on March 18, 2024, at 2:00pm.
