Rachelle Swartz Pelley, 101, died November 30, 2014 in The Village. She was born February 27, 1913 in Meno, Oklahoma to Orvo and Lillian (Carlyle) Swartz. Rachelle taught school primarily in Yukon and Oklahoma City for approximately 40 years. In 2014, she was presented the Pioneer Award from Oklahoma County Retired Educators Association. She was preceded in death by her two children, Karen Moran and Stan Moran. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, W. H. Pelley; niece, Gay Pepin; and nephews, John Pelley, Scott Pelley and Richard Swartz. Viewing will be Thursday, 9am-9pm, at Mercer-Adams.
