Quata M. Shivers, age 84, of Bethany, passed away April 3, 2013. She was born August 1, 1928, in Mena, Arkansas to Charles and Hazel Winters. She grew up in Weed, New Mexico, married Gary Shivers, and lived all over the United States before settling in Oklahoma in the early sixties. Quata worked for many years as the office manager of Commercial Warehouse and, after retirement, at Remington Park. She was an avid birdwatcher, gardener, baker and fan of Oklahoma State sports and Oklahoma City Thunder basketball. Most of all, she loved her family, and enjoyed family get-togethers. She is survived by her husband, Gary; her daughter and son-in law, Trevlyn and Charles Cross; her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Cindi Shivers; her son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Misty Shivers; her granddaughters, Savannah Stumph (Brad), Celena McCord (Chris) and Hannah Shivers; great-grandsons, Eli, Jack, Luke and Gus; and her sister, Mackey and brother, Charley.
