Obituary

Pricilla A Dodd, 76, of Bethany, OK went to be with her Savior on October 15th ,2018 in Oklahoma City, OK. Pricilla was born on September 8, 1942 in Artesia, CA. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1961. Not long after graduating, Pricilla was working at a grocery store when she spotted a handsome young delivery guy. She tried her best to make "chance" encounters until one day her plan fell perfectly into place and the rest is history. Bobby and Pricilla were married September 9, 1961. They were blessed with 3 wonderful boys, Bret, Roger and Kurt. Before finding her career at the FAA, Pricilla always talked about when she went to work here and there and it would only last about a few months or so. She would come home and Bobby would say, "again" She would just giggle when she told those stories and praise Bobby and how supportive he was to her and their family. In retirement, Pricilla and Bobby adopted the "snow-bird" lifestyle and would vacation in the warm states while we all froze back at home 😊. Pricilla had quite the humor and took great enjoyment out of sharing the 86 degree Yuma, AZ weather during the bitter Oklahoma winter months. Pricilla was very talented and loved to sew, embroider and quilt. She took great pride in the detail and beauty in her work and was always making a special treasure for family and friends. In recent years Pricilla gained a love of researching and reading about her familys ancestry. She had an innate ability to make others feel special and make people smile. She was humble, kind, generous and loving. We will miss her so. Pricilla is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bobby Dodd; her brother, Leonard Childers; 3 sons and family, Bret and Susan Dodd, Roger and Candace Dodd and Kurt and Kathy Dodd; 7 grandchildren, Britanni and Tyson Rutledge, Joshua and Dabnee Dodd, Kirstin Rachel Dodd, Sage Dodd and Chance Dodd; and 1 adoring great-grandchild, Weston Rutledge; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pricilla enriched so many peoples lives. We invite you to celebrate her life with us at 10:00AM, Friday, October 19 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home, Bethany, OK.
