Obituary

Pleas Elton Dye Jr. was born on August 2, 1930 in Los Angeles, California. He went home to Our Heavenly Father the afternoon of November 15, 2017, after a long struggle with an illness. He returned to Oklahoma at the age of 3 with his parents, Pleas Elton Dye Sr. and Aubie Irene Williams who preceded him in death. Pleas attended Lee Elementary and graduated from Central High School in the Oklahoma City area. He enjoyed his childhood riding horses and many outdoor activities. Later, he was a jockey, bull rider and performed in 89er day celebrations. He spent time in the army and was honorably discharged in the early 50's. Later, Pleas went to work for the U.S. Postal Service where he worked for over 52 years. He worked his way from mail sorter, Supervisor of the Main Post Office to Postmaster in the Concho Post Office where he retired. His favorite activities included boating, spear fishing, scuba diving, hunting and exploring. As he aged, he loved to read and tinker in the garage. Pleas was very patient and kind mannered.
