Obituary

Phyllis Schantz, 66, received her degree in life and boarded her chariot bound for Glory on December 8, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born February 15, 1951 in Burdette, Arkansas to Duane Easley and Mona Easley Bratton. She grew up in a small town, Blytheville Arkansas. She attended Blytheville High School and graduated in 1969. She was a member of the Red Pepper Club, Cheerleader and part of their Student Council. She loved hanging out at the Dixi Pig BBQ after school with her friends. She moved to Oklahoma City and attended Baptist Temple where she was a long time member. She sang in the choir, played handbells, and volunteered in nursery, Sunday school and youth activities. She married James Schantz on May 19, 1979 in Oklahoma City, OK. Phyllis worked for Webb, Young and Webb for 40 years as a Commercial Lines CSR, where she was known as the office prankster. Phyllis enjoyed shopping, traveling, and watching sports. She and James love going to OU football games, basketball games and other sporting events. She was the "keeper of scores" for her office football pools and march madness. Her absolute love was her children and grandchildren. She was a very kind and giving woman. Always hosting youth activities and opening her home to all of Cari, Emily and Molly's friends. She never missed any of her daughters school and extra curricular activities. She continued this routine as she began attending Jacie and Carlie's school, church and sporting events. She was preceded in death by her father, stepfather; Billy Bratton and brother in law; Randy Toombs. Survivors include her husband; James Schantz; daughters, Cari Warfe and husband Jason, Emily Boclair and husband Dave, and Molly Schantz; mother, Mona Bratton; sisters, Ann Toombs and Sheree Easley; 3 grandchildren, Jacie Claire, Carlie Jo & Ava Bea Warfe and many other loved ones.
