Phyllis Mae Bremmer, born January 31, 1933 in Lincoln, Nebraska, died at her home on October 6, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lillian Pixley, her husband, Robert Alan Bremmer and two son-in-laws, Phillip Ricks and Roger Blackshere. She is survived by her four children, Cindy Blackshere, Mike and Elaine Bremmer, Julie Harlow, David and Hazel Bremmer; six grandchildren, Cheryl and Trey Green, Jennifer and Kenneth Day, Nathan Bremmer, Nick Bremmer, Erica Harlow, Jarrett Bremmer; and great-granddaughter, Danielle Reffner. She was a majority member of Jobs Daughters in California and active member of Jobs Daughters Grand Guardian Council of Oklahoma for many years, as well as an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, Amaranth, White Shrine, and Daughters of the Nile, where she happily played the violin or piano whenever asked. She was affectionately known as Grandma to girls all over the state. She was a cherished mother, gracious grandmother, and thoughtful friend to all whom she was with. Phyllis will remain in the hearts of many and will never be forgotten by those who loved her. In lieu of flowers, Phyllis requested donations be sent to the Jobs Daughters Scholarship fund, in care of the OKGGC, 14416 Locust Dr., Piedmont, OK, 73078, memo line: scholarship fund. Service will be held at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 2:30 Sat., Oct. 11, 2008, followed by graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery.
