Obituary

On Sunday, August 14, 2022, Phillip Mark Schein, a loving husband, step-father, brother, and son, passed away at age 61. Mark was born on February 24, 1961, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Don and Pat (Stafford) Schein. He received his Petroleum Engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK in 1984 and worked in the IT industry as a Software Engineer for 30 years with Encore, Sun Microsystems, and Oracle before retiring in February 2017 in Mustang, Oklahoma. On February 17, 2018, he married Elaine V. Schein, and they were happily married for a short time after both going through previous devastating divorces. Mark was passionate about golfing, scuba diving, and swimming with the dolphins. He also loved birdwatching and planting flowers in a garden with his wife, Elaine, and dog, Buster. He collected second-hand paintings to hang in his art gallery. He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and kind and compassionate spirit, and he loved to joke with everyone he met. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Don. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his four step-children, Brandie, Jayson, Amber, and Melanie; step-grandchildren; his mother, Pat; brother, Ken; two aunts; one uncle; one niece; four nephews; numerous cousins; and many friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church on 600 Garth Brooks Blvd, Yukon, OK, at 10:30 AM.
