Phillip Ray Penrod was born October 2, 1956 to Steve and Donna (Littrell) Penrod in Oklahoma City, OK and entered his heavenly home after a long, hard fought battle with Lymphoma on July 9, 2022.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and siblings (1-brother; 4-sisters) and many loved ones.
Phillip spent 45 years working in the oilfield industry. He was a loving husband, dad, and amazing Papa. Phillip was a devoted Christian and member of LifeChurch. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; Son, Dustin Penrod; Daughter, Jessica Barger and her husband Jason Barger; 4 grandchildren, Addison Penrod, Jadyn Barger, Jules Barger, and Jaxon Barger. One brother, Russell Penrod and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Phillip loved life to the fullest, he was a devoted husband for over 35 years; he had many lifelong friends and never met a stranger. His family was his life, especially spending time with Cheryl & "the kids" (grandchildren). He never missed a chance to watch them shine in every activity they were involved in. They all know that Papa will forever be their biggest fan! He will truly be missed by his loyal 4-legged companion, "Scotty" who was rescued from the Bella Foundation 5 years ago. Phillip always loved his music, and recently started playing guitar again. He attended a weekly mens bible study and loved being able to serve others.
Phil was a great man. He extended his life way beyond what most could because of his desire to be with the ones he loved. He was one of the strongest men we have ever known that overcame many health issues, complications, and different obstacles over his lifetime. He always fought hard and never had any fear because of his faith. He will be missed by many, but in his last words we take comfort because we know "Gods got him, See ya later"
