Phillip Wayne Fauss Phil Fauss, age 84, passed away in his home on December 8, 2022. Phil was born in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Grover and Polly Fauss, where he spent most of his life. He attended Central High School and graduated from Oklahoma State University. He joined the Oklahoma Air National Guard in 1963 and retired as a LT Colonel. Phil is survived by his brother, Gary Fauss; nieces, Laurie Locke and Melinda Prince; nephews, Timothy and Thomas Adams; and numerous grand nieces and nephews. In the Air Guard, Phil was a Flight Navigator flying C-130 aircraft in and out of Vietnam and many other Guard missions. After getting his degree at OSU, Phil began a career flying as a navigator with charter airlines. This took him all over the United States and world. He also continued to serve in the Guard until his retirement in the late 90s. Phil always had great stories to tell about his flying and visiting world cities. He met many friends in the Guard and had long-lasting friendships. In 1963, Phil bought an early model of the Chevrolet Corvair and enjoyed working on them and was involved in local Corvair clubs. He also served in neighborhood associations. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00pm at Mercer- Adams Funeral Service. .
