Obituary

Phil Ray Castleberry, 92, passed away on March 28, 2026 in Bethany, OK. He was born January 3, 1934, to John and Frances Castleberry in Roaring Springs, TX. He graduated from high school in Amarillo, TX in 1952 and joined the US Coast Guard. He married Helen Louise Conway in 1961 in Amarillo, TX. Phil received a Master's degree in Business from Southern Nazarene University. He retired from SNU after many years of service as the Director of Maintenance.

Phil and Louise worked for Golden Bell Camp and Conference Center in Colorado for many years where they enjoyed skiing and other winter sports.

Phil was a very quiet, humble man with a sweet spirit. A man of few words, he possessed a dry wit which was very funny.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 51 years, Louise; his sisters, Vivian Wilson, Jean Roberts and twin sister, Bobbie Fay; his brothers, Jerry Castleberry and Ted Castleberry. He is survived by his niece, Joanie Brehm and his nephew, Wade Hiney. Phil will be greatly missed.
