Peggy Lynne Lofgren, 71, of Oklahoma City, passed away Dec. 20, 2016 after a short illness. She was born May 14, 1945 in Oklahoma City to Harold and Loveta Reno Lofgren. She grew up in Bethany and Piedmont, Oklahoma, graduating from Piedmont High School in 1963. Peggy worked several years as a statistical typist for Hartford Insurance Company. She overcame several challenges to achieve independent living for many years. Peggy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bethany. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Loveta Lofgren. She is survived by her loving family, sister Louise and husband Bob Bell, of Muskogee, OK; brother Charles and wife Darlene Lofgren, of Bethany, OK; brother Rick and wife Margaret Lofgren, of Piedmont, OK; sister Carol and husband Cloyce McKee, of Oklahoma City; aunt Alpha and husband Howell Horn, of Bethany, OK, uncle Bill and wife Gladys Lofgren, of Spring Hope, NC; eight nieces and nephews; and 10 great nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mercer Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N. Asbury Ave. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at the First Baptist Church of Bethany, 3800 N. Mueller, Bethany, Okla., 73008, or to the church of your choice.
