On July 18, 2024 at 12:55am at the age of 99 years, 6 months, our precious mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Pauline "Polly" Charlene Morgan went to be with her Heavenly Father. Polly was born on January 7, 1925 in Pharoah, OK. She graduated from Eunice High School in Eunice, NM in 1942. She received an associate's degree from Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, TX in 1944. She then attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK and received her BA degree in May, 1946.
Polly's parents were Charles Leo Hoppe, who passed away on March 19, 2006 and Virgie Pauline Hoppe, who passed away on September 22, 1990.
Polly met her now deceased husband, Ralph O. Morgan (died May 2, 1988) in 1947 while serving as the church secretary at Ross Avenue Baptist Church. She and Ralph married on January 30, 1948.
Polly will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Virginia "Jenny" Jensen; son, Stephen Paul Morgan; grandchildren, Teresa Rene Stanfield, Cheri Stanfield, Holly Morgan, Joseph "Joe" Charles Morgan, Jamie Michelle Morgan (Neal), Charles "Chad" Hugh Adams, Lauren Rene Morgan (Highland), Rachel Ann Morgan, John Michael Head and Jennifer Head LeBleu; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Couchene, Zada Morgan, Devon Tyler Stanfield, Jay Austin Hugle, Ellen "Emma" Morgan Adams, Jade Morgan Neal, Zek Morgan, Jordan Michelle Neal, Jasmine Elizabeth Stanfield, Katherine Abigail "Abby" Adams, Aliana Head, Johvan "Jojo" Head, Maxx Lebleu, Jack Lebleu and Nash Lebleu; and her precious sister, Rieta Selberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph O. Morgan; her parents, Charlie and Virgie Hoppe; her son, Robert Byron Morgan; and her sisters, Patricia "Pat" Stearman and Ruth Kizziar.
Polly was very involved in her church (Northwest Baptist Church), serving as church secretary for nine years. She was active in choir and served on several committees such as the Pastor Search Committee, Member Care, Sunday School leadership, Pictorial Directory and numerous other activities. She was so loved by all the people of the church.
Anyone who knew Polly would forever be touched by her beautiful smile and her loving Christian attitude towards life. She dedicated her life to her family and friends; always greeting people with her infectious smile.
Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Friday, 10am-8pm with family present from 5:30-7:30pm. The service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 27 at Northwest Baptist Church followed by a private graveside service for the family.
Flowers may be sent to Mercer-Adams. Memorial donations in Polly's name may be made to Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma (https://dsaco.org/) in honor of her great-grandchild, Emma Adams.
