Pauline M. Bonner, 87, died October 16, 2008. She was born April 3, 1921 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Rex and Nancy (Jones) Mathews. She was a longtime member of Baptist Temple and served many years in the kindergarten department. She worked as a beautician for 61 years. She loved playing golf and crocheting. Taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the joy of her life. Saturday night sleepovers were always the highlight of the week.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; sisters, Gurtha Bates, Floy Parker, Maudie Dollarhite, Ester White, Iris Thompson, Loise Batson, and Jane Breen; and brothers, Jesse Mathews and Jim Mathews. She is survived by daughter, Marguerite Margaret Ann Pickle and husband Tony; 4 sisters, Jewell Richardson, Bessie Deane Potts, Jaudene Rhoden, and Marthel Smith; 1 brother, Sam Mathews; 3 grandchildren, Gina Gibson and husband Kevin, Paula Bullard and husband Shelby, Tony Ray Pickle and wife Sandy; 7 great-grandchildren, Shelby, Shane, Kaylee, Kwadwo, Jennifer, Tawna, and Shayna; and 6 great-great-grandchildren, Maddie, Hank, Madisyn, Abagail, Annabelle, and Ashtayn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, October 20, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
