Paula W Greer, a native of Duncan, passed away July 1, 2013, in Topeka, KS, following a stroke. After graduating high school, where she was valedictorian of her senior class, she attended OU and Bethany Nazarene College (now SNU). She earned a master's degree in foreign languages from OU; then taught French for a time at SNU. She married the Rev. Bronell Greer of Shawnee OK in 1943. They were both called as missionaries, departing for India in 1944. They resumed residence in Bethany in 1991, after 47 years on the field. The Greers lost their first born son, David, in India to drowning in 1962. Rev. Greer died in 2004. Her other son, Steve, is a school social worker in Topeka, KS. He is married to Trish, who teaches Deaf/ Hard of Hearing students in Topeka Public Schools. Final respects may be paid to Mrs. Greer at Mercer-Adams Mortuary - 3925 N Asbury Ave, Bethany (405) 495-4363 on Monday, July 8. A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9 at Calvary Church of the Nazarene - 3100 N Rockwell Ave, Bethany (405) 789-6034. She will be interred at Bethany Cemetery.
