Obituary

Paul Jeffrey Young passed away September 18, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born November 5, 1955 in Spokane, Washington to Harold "Hal" and Doris (Gow) Young. He graduated from Yukon High School. Paul married Rose Marie Sutcliffe on April 15, 2012. He loved his wife, Rose, very much. It was apparent they had a deep friendship and respect for one another on top of their love. They enjoyed relaxing together while fishing in dads favorite spots and admiring each others hobbies; his of woodworking and Roses gardening. Paul was a tool and die maker and supervisor for Phil-Good Products, retiring after 34 years. He enjoyed a wide range of hobbies including a love for fishing and wildlife. Not in just the thrill of the hunt or fish, but in doing the right thing for the sports of hunting and fishing. He had a passion for passing down the right way to be respectful of the sport. He also enjoyed rebuilding cars, motorcycles, horse trail rides, and sharpshooting. He always guaranteed to have an adventure story from his younger days of flat track racing in Yukon. He was an adrenaline junkie to the max. If it was loud and went fast, he wanted to drive it! He was also ornery and quick witted! He always found a way to make a joke in almost any situation. He was very passionate about everything he did in his life. He was an all-in kind of man. He always made sure to instill that in us girls, too. If we failed at something he would make sure we "got back on the horse" before we gave up. Whatever the problem, he would ask us what the plan was and then tell us to go all in on it! When we were younger, he took so much pride in watching us girls play sports and, as we grew older, he was so excited to watch us begin motherhood and raise our children. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Hal. Survivors include his loving wife, Rose; daughters, Chelsie Glidden and Sarah Southard-Lozmack and husband Phil; sister, Christy DeWitt and husband Russell; grandchildren, Canon, Rowan, Ava and Adalynn; and his mother, Doris. He had many lifelong friendships that he held in high regard and maintained.
