Paul Ramon Culwell, 95, died April 28, 2019 in Joplin, MO. He had lived in OKC since 1956. He was born May 26, 1923 in Altus OK to A.G. and Jimmie Vera (Copeland) Culwell. He attended 1 year at Altus Junior College. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy from May 1943 to May 1946, serving in the US and the South Pacific. He lived in Altus, Enid and Stillwater, OK prior to moving to OKC in 1956. He worked as a Driver's License Examiner for 9 years and at Oklahoma Farm Bureau for 32 years. Paul married Joyce Marie Personett on Feb. 10, 1951. She preceded him in death in 2018 and they were married for 67 years. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Meier and husband, Mitch; grandchildren, Chris and Coni Meier, Kevin and Keisha Meier, Mari Meier, and Brad Meier; great-grandchildren, Averianne, Carson, Carter, Brinley and Emersyn; nieces, Sharon Billeg, Marilyn Personett; and nephews, Jerry Personett, Mike Personett and Ken Personett. He was preceded in death by wife, Joyce Marie, brothers, Carlyle and Jim Culwell, and his parents. Viewing will be Sunday, May 5, 11am-9pm, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mercer-Adams.
