Paul Edward Allen, 95, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2008. He was born to parents George Edward and Katherine Allen in Wendell, MA on October 29, 1913. He received a B.S. degree in aeronautical engineering from Finley Engineering College. During World War II, he served 31 months as a Navy Lieutenant in the Special Design Branch, Navy Department in Washington D.C. and Europe. He received a commendation by the Secretary of Navy for his service. He married Adella Regina Zink in 1949. He retired from North American Rockwell, Aero Commander Division in 1973. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Charles Ellis of OKC; son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Susan Allen of Des Moines, IA; daughter and son-in-law Anne and Randy Dailey of Paris, KY; daughter and son-in-law Jane and John Swierzbin of Brooklyn, NY; and grandchildren Blake and Nicole Ellis, Beth, John and Robert Allen, and Faith and Daniel Dailey. Prayer services will be Monday, December 8, 7:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, December 9, 10:30 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, 7336 W. Britton Rd., OKC, OK 73132. Paul and his wife, Della, were founding members of Epiphany Church.
