Patsy Jenell Pederson, 83, of Oklahoma City, passed away on her Lord and Saviors birthday, December 25, 2021. Patsy was born to Arthur Milton and Willie Lee (Housden) Alexander on September 14, 1938. In 1955 she married the love of her entire life Henry Preston Pederson. They were happily married for 64 years before he passed on May 18, 2019. She loved him until death separated them and mourned for him until she drew her last breath. She was a faithful member of Council Road Baptist Church and was active in Sunday School and small group. She volunteered at R.O.C. (Reaching Our City) food pantry. On her headstone she chose the phrase "They served Together." They truly did. She served thousands of sandwiches to the survivors and relief workers of the May 3, 1999, Moore tornadoes. In 2011, she and Henry traveled with the Salvation Army as certified canteen workers to Tuscaloosa, AL as serving tornado survivors. She truly was the hands and feet of Jesus. Her home was opened to so very, very many people throughout the years. They found shelter and security during times of need. She provided food, clothes and advice both asked for (and not asked for). She loved her grandkids with her entire being. She prayed for all of them daily.
She was a cosmetologist for 60+ years, The relationships she formed extended to friendships that lasted her lifetime. She was a hard worker--not afraid to get dirty, climb ladders and roof houses. She loved yard work, her flowers and many gardens throughout the years. She knew her neighbors, her pharmacists, her dentist, her banker, her doctors and they knew her because she was one of a kind and never to be forgotten.
Patsy was preceded in death by her spouse, Henry; her parents; siblings, Marlene Reinhardt and Bobby Alexander. She is survived by her daughters, Julie Renee Gaches and spouse Michael of Stillwater, OK and Jill Suzanne Carlson of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Tyler Hammons, Amber Davenport, Brittany Peterson and her spouse Justin Peterson, Cody Carlson, Mia Gaches, and Rylee Gaches; great-grandchildren, Madalynn, Chasity, Jace, Tinsley, and Mason.
