Obituary

Patsy Carol Eichor Garrison, lovingly known to everyone simply as "Nana," passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, in Hemet, California, at the age of 85.

Born on February 17, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Patsy spent much of her life in Oklahoma, living in Mustang, Bethany, and Edmond before eventually making California her home with her son and daughter-in-law. No matter where life took her, her heart was always centered on two things: her faith and her family. A lifelong and devoted member of her church, Patsy faithfully attended services throughout her life. Her quiet faith, unwavering strength, and servant's heart were the foundation on which she built her family.

Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Dean Garrison; her children, Kenneth Dean Garrison Jr., Karen Diane Garrison, Brian Alan Garrison, Jerry Don Garrison, and Kenneth Paul Garrison; sister, Viva Faylene Eichor; brothers, Larry Jack Eichor and A.J. Eichor; and parents, Ottie Leslie and Leota Merle Eichor.

She is survived by her son, David Garrison and his wife, Sundie Garrison; her cherished grandchildren, Nakyla Garrison, Brandon Garrison, Eric Garrison and Andrew Garrison; her treasured great-grandchildren, Ophelia Fisher and Sky Williams; and countless extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.

To her grandchildren, she wasn't Grandma—she was Nana. She wore that title with tremendous pride. In fact, she loved it so much that her big Lincoln proudly displayed a personalized license plate that simply read "NANA." It fit her perfectly because being a grandmother was one of life's greatest joys.

Patsy loved gathering around the table for card games and board games with her family, often laughing about how her father, Ottie, wasn't above bending the rules just a little if it meant winning. She filled her home with music, playing records and dancing through the dining room with her grandchildren, creating memories they will cherish forever.

She found happiness in tending her garden, knitting gifts made with love, and curling up with one of her favorite Amish novels. Patsy also had a bit of a mischievous streak—she loved driving fast and wasn't afraid of much. Tough, independent, and fiercely protective of those she loved, she was even known to sleep with a gun under her pillow, earning comparisons to a modern-day Annie Oakley from those who knew her best.

One of the greatest adventures of her life was traveling to London with her daughter on a church trip, a journey she treasured and often remembered with joy.

Patsy was tall and graceful, with piercing blue eyes and beautiful olive-toned German skin that remained remarkably soft and radiant throughout her life. She possessed quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and love that was felt by everyone fortunate enough to call her family.

Although our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing that she lived a full life and was able to enjoy her great-granddaughters, which gave her so much joy. When they weren't brushing her hair or decorating her room, they were bringing their personal nail salon to their Nana.

Patsy's legacy is not found in the things she owned, but in the family she loved so fiercely, the faith she lived so faithfully, and the countless memories she leaves behind.

She will forever be our Mother, Aunt, Cousin, Nana and Friend. She will be deeply missed.
