Patricia (Pat) Gladys Ball, 75 of Oklahoma City, went to be with our Lord October 21, 2009. She was born December 7, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Harry Clyde Showers and Gladys Estelle Showers. Pat served three years active duty in the United States Air Force. She also served in the United States Army Reserves until 1987. She worked for F.A.A. as a clerk stenographer in the office of aviation medicine from 1959 to 1989 when she retired. After retirement, she worked part time for Northwest Baptist Church where she was also a member for 17 years as the records secretary. She also assisted in the library. She loved to read God's word and she studied it passionately. She also loved art, painting, animals and enjoyed spending time following politics. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Clyde (Gary) Garrett Showers. She is survived by her daughter Gaylynn Boice, and son Bryan Ball, both of Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Stephany Boice and Melissa Ball, both of Oklahoma City; two grandsons, Jeremy Ball of Oklahoma City and Jesse Boice of Piedmont, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren, Jeremy and Jordan Ball of Oklahoma City, Titus and Isaiah Boice of Piedmont and Devin Ball of Oklahoma City. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Services will be held at Northwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27 with interment in Chapel Hill.
