Obituary

Idavid De Leon De Giron, affectionately known as Felina, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States, just two days shy of her 76th birthday. Born on March 15, 1947, in Los Angeles, Sibilia, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, Orfelina was a beacon of love and faith throughout her life. She was the second oldest out of 7 children. She loved her parents very much.

Orfelina was the beloved wife of the late Felipe De Jesus Giron (Born 1940- Died 2004), with whom she shared a life filled with devotion and hard work. Although they had many ups and downs, their partnership was a testament to enduring love and a shared commitment to family and faith. Together they had 12 children and had more than 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked hard to raised her children in a time where it was hard to sustain and care of 12 children. Unfortunately, 3 of her children passed away at a young age.

Known for her loving and kind nature, Orfelina touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, and she found great joy in studying the Bible, drawing strength and inspiration from its teachings. Orfelina's dedication to her faith was evident in her daily life and in the compassionate way she interacted with others. She loved singing hymns.

A woman of many talents and interests, Orfelina spent countless hours cooking, sewing, and embroidering, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with the fruits of her labors. Orfelina's handiwork in sewing and embroidery was a reflection of her meticulous nature and her desire to add beauty to the world around her. Orfelina's generosity knew no bounds. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, embodying the very essence of selflessness. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. The love she poured into her relationships was the fabric that held her family together, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide them. In every aspect of her life, Orfelina exemplified what it means to be faith-filled. She faced life's challenges with grace and unwavering trust in God. Her strength and resilience were a source of encouragement to all who knew her, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she has touched.

Orfelina Idavid De Leon De Giron's journey on earth may have come to an end, but her story remains a guiding light for her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated, as she has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. As we say goodbye to Orfelina, we take solace in the knowledge that her love and teachings will continue to resonate within us. Her life was a beautiful testament to the power of kindness and the enduring strength of faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a cherished mother, grandmother, friend, and devout believer. Rest in peace, dear Orfelina, until we meet again.
