Opal Wanita Bryant, age 99, passed away August 24, 2015. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be held Saturday, August 29, 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Bethany with interment in Carnegie Cemetery. Opal was born April 20, 1916 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Walter and Elizabeth Coleman. She married Robert Lee Lunsford December 22, 1930. They were married 19 years and had 3 daughters. She married Ernest Bryant in 1976 and he preceded her in death November of 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Norma Charlene Brown; four siblings, Lavitha, Vernon, Chester and Carrol; one granddaughter, Gina Barton; and one great-grandson, Tommy Barton. Opal is survived by her children, Judy Potter and Ella Ruth Stowe; siblings, Lucille Wood and husband Bill, and Gerald Coleman and wife Naomi; grandchildren, Debbie Robertson and husband Johnny, Lori Taylor, Jim Liefer and partner Rob, Archie Stowe and wife Renee, Randy Stowe, Jerry Upton and wife Tracy, Mike Potter and wife Lisa; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Opal was a blessing to her family and friends and will be missed. The family thanks all of Opal's caregivers at Warr Acres Nursing Center for the time and care they gave to her during her residence.
