Olwen "Beryl"
Cadle
Mar 18, 1939 — Apr 13, 2026
Olwen "Beryl" Cadle, 87, passed away on April 13, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born March 18, 1939 to Edith and Reginald Hicks in Somerset, England. Some of her most treasured and childhood memories happened during her time spent with her grandmother, "Mam", in Wales. She met the love of her life, Clive Cadle, in 1957 at the Battle of Flowers Parade in Jersey, an island off of France, they later wed on March 5, 1960. They spent over 6 decades together on this Earth, and there is no doubt their reunion in Heaven was worth every moment of waiting, as they were finally together again in perfect peace and endless love.
Beryl enjoyed traveling, some of her favorite destinations were Peru, Egypt, England, Wales, Nova Scotia, many cruises, and countless vacations with her daughter Sharon and son-in- law Dave. Her love of exploring didn't stop on Earth—Beryl was also fascinated by the stars and the beauty of the night sky with telescopes bigger than some cars, Clive and Beryl have traveled to see many Solar eclipses. One of their claims to fame was being published in Scientific America magazine. Beryl was also known for her love of collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia—so much so that she filled an entire room of her home with her treasured collection.
Throughout her life, Beryl also gave generously of her time and talents, and will be remembered for her many years of varied service to organizations like Church of the Servant, American Cancer Society, and most recently at her home church Mount Zion Global Methodist of El Reno.
She will be best remembered by those who loved her for the way she loved to serve others, whether it was making her legendary sausage rolls for any family gathering, or showing up to any major life event for her many grandkids or great grandkids she was there. Her faith and service were something to be admired, and we know she heard the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant"
Beryl is preceded in death by her parents, and beloved spouse of 61 years, Clive.
She is survived by her brother, Mike Hicks of Wales, UK. Her four children; Colin (Janice), Sharon Hogan (Dave), Lesley Pallutch (Chris), and Keith (Stacie). She was also loved and adored by her 6 grandchildren; Crystal Cooper, Nic Cadle (Alisha), Blair Thomas (Darren), Cooper Cadle (Lauren), Ryan Pallutch, and Carly Faith Hval (Zach). She also proudly held the title of Nana to her 10 great grandkids; Tyler Cooper (Rachel), Kaitlyn Cooper, Rylan Cadle, Brooklyn Cooper, Hunter Thomas, Willow Thomas, Connelly Cadle, Colt Cadle, Cash Cadle, and Summer Cadle. She also leaves behind extended family members and friends in England and all over the world.
Her life was a testament to love in action, and though she is no longer here, the impact of her kindness and faith will continue to ripple through the lives of all who knew her
She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to live on through her family for generations to come.
