Oliver Orby Hartman moved to his eternal home Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was a mighty man of God who witnessed boldly for his Lord and Savior. Eternity will reveal the many lives touched by his testimony. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 2, 1927 to S.J. and Iris Hartman. He graduated from Crooked Oak High School and served in the U.S. Army in Japan. He was owner and founder of San Valley Raceway and H & H Marine in Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Georgia Hartman; twin daughters, Geri Willis (Don), Kathy Boatman (Gary); son, David Hartman (Jaci); daughter, Keta Pope (Dale); six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, J.D. Hartman; and sisters, Oleta Dukes and Marlene Carroll. He was an athlete and enjoyed many sports throughout his life, especially drag racing, golfing, fishing, snow skiing, and hunting. He was recently an avid fan of the Thunder Basketball team. His humor and common sense wisdom will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Services will be Friday, May 6, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill.
