Norman Wendell Pigg (Norm) was born October 14, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the third of "the three little Piggs" born to John and Juanita Pigg. He passed away June 6, 2023 at his home in Edmond, OK. Norm graduated from Putnam City West High School in Oklahoma City in 1974. He worked at various jobs throughout his career including land man and handling inventory of directional drilling equipment. He was especially proud of the fancy engraving projects that he did while working at a print shop. His work took him to Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Arkansas.
Norm was a recovering alcoholic, sober for his last 18 years and was actively involved in the AA program. Norm was a jokester and loved sharing a laugh with whoever would listen. He was excited to have the chance to make the drive from Oklahoma City to Alaska with his brother Ken four years ago. Until medical issues limited his activities, he loved spending time working on his home in Edmond and the family farm in Stillwater. We are thankful that his chronic pain is now gone with a glorified body in heaven!
Norm was briefly married but never had children of his own. He was preceded in death by his father, John Pigg and brother, Paul Bryan Pigg. Survivors include his mother, Juanita Pigg of Yukon, OK; brother Ken Pigg and his wife Peggy of Anchorage, AK; niece Melanie King and her husband David of Hooker, OK; niece Julie Smith and her husband Luke of Anchorage, AK; great niece Mollee King and great nephews Vincent King, Peter King, Jackson Smith, Brady Smith, and Alexander Smith.
