Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Norma Jean McCall, passed peacefully from this life on September 15, 2025, in Oklahoma City at the age of 99.

Norma was a warm, nurturing person loved by all who knew her. She was born on June 1, 1926 in Clinton, OK to Nonnilee Bonham and Walter Lewis. She had a happy childhood and especially cherished the summers spent with her grandparents on their farm in Alabama. She never tired of reminiscing about those happy days.

In 1946, Norma married a handsome sailor, Jim Stratton, and they welcomed two children – Mike and Linda. They raised their family on an acreage east of OKC, and Norma loved the peaceful, quiet home they shared with several horses and other dear pets.

Norma loved being a mother and was very active in her kids' activities. She served as Cub Scout Leader, Blue Bird Leader, and she never missed a football game, school play, or horse-riding event.

Norma was preceded in death by first and second husbands, Jim Stratton and Clark McCall; and her son, Mike Stratton. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Robert Hutchison (OKC); grandchildren, Michael Stratton (CO), Jared Stratton (OH), Gina Fetter (MO), and Matt Stratton (MO); nine great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law, Barbara Henley; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the amazing director and staff at St. Ann's Skilled Nursing, especially Norma's aides, Anthony, Vivian, and Melody, who provided kindness and loving care during her final years. Thanks also to Good Shepherd Hospice for taking such good care of Norma.

Norma chose cremation and requested no public service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in her memory to Free to Live Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 5884, Edmond OK 73083 or via the following link: https://freetoliveok.org/donate/
