Norma Lee Littrell, 90, silently passed away at home on May 4, 2020, in Oklahoma City, OK. Norma was born on June 18, 1929, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Bruce and Margaret Wheeler. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jimmie L. Littrell.
Norma found great enjoyment riding her bicycle as a child and leading cheers with her friends in high school. After graduation from high school, Norma worked for the Wewoka telephone company for several years until, in 1952, she married Jimmie Littrell on December 23. Norma attended countless OU football games over the years. She loved to travel and attended many OU football away games which included several Orange Bowl games. Norma also had a passion for the Thunder; she never missed a game.
Norma was her happiest when, for many years, she and her husband entertained family and friends at their second home on Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma. She enjoyed boating and fishing, but most of all she enjoyed boating to "the sandy beach," picnicking, and watching her children and grandchildren play in the sand, ski, and ride the knee board.
Norma is survived by her sons, Steve Littrell and his wife Nancy, and David Littrell and his wife Lisa; daughter, Lisa Littrell Lapsley of Oklahoma City, OK, and her son, Aaron Lapsley and his wife Amarides and their children, Gabriel and Elowen of San Jose, CA, and son, Brian Lapsley and his wife Danielle and their child, Amelia of Oklahoma City, OK. Norma is also survived by her beloved sister, LaRuth Smith, of Oklahoma City, OK.
The family would like to thank Dr. Melanie Marshall, Integris Hospice and Tara Care; Jemimah, B, Carol, Janet and Stella.
