Obituary

Norma Lee (Pock) Eavenson, 95, passed away June 18, 2021, in Oklahoma City. She was born on July 10, 1925, in Scotia, California, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Essie Lee (Kennemer) Pock. Norma graduated from Stillwater High School in 1944, and married Bruce Marvin Eavenson on February 14, 1946. She was a member of the Mayfair Church of Christ. Norma worked for the State of Oklahoma for many years. She was employed by the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, the Oklahoma State Board of Public Affairs, and the Oklahoma Tax Commission, from which she retired in 1979. She enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce and her son-in-law, Tex Norman. Survivors include daughters, Kathie Norman and Melain Eavenson of Oklahoma City; grandson, Ryan Norman of Plainsboro, New Jersey; brother, David Pock of Mannford, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday, June 24, 1:00pm at St. Davids Episcopal Church with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City. .
