Norma Jean Adcox, 80 years of age, was carried away by angels from her Bethany home on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Jean was born May 3, 1937, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Bennie Campbell and Bessie (Sanner) Wooldridge. She was a loving mom and grandmother to her four children, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great. Jeans love of cooking lead her into a number of bakeries as a cake decorator and prompted several family editions of Jeans favorite recipes. She could often be found in her kitchen making a pot of dumplings, chicken dressing, scalloped potatoes or some of her other favorite dishes to share with others. Jean loved to crochet baby afghans, pot holders and Barbie furniture that she freely shared with many. The number one love of Jeans life was her relationship with Jesus and His Church. She was a faithful member of the church all her life beginning first as a young girl in Duncan where she attended services with her grandmother, Ora Belle Sanner and her mother, who both influenced her greatly for Christ. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1958 and became a member of the NW 50th Street Church of Christ in Warr Acres. Jean established many lifelong relationships with co-workers and associates, including the ladies of her Piedmont homemakers club. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Weslie and Winston Campbell, and one son-in-law, Olie Gerardi. She is survived by her four children: Wayne Adcox, Bill Adcox and his wife Sandy (Bethany, OK), Donnie Adcox and his wife Sharon (Piedmont, OK), and Jeannie Gerardi (Yukon, OK).
