Nona Jane (Powers) Kelley was born June 30th, 1928 as the third child of Hardy C. and Ruby Mae Powers. She passed away in her home in Oklahoma City on October 30th, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Selden, two of her four siblings, Dudley and Geneva, her two children, Bobbe (spouse Larry) and Dee (spouse Kay), and her four grandchildren, Sutton, Maya, Nona and Savannah. Nona graduated from Olivet Nazarene College and then taught high school English. She served as youth leader, missions director, choir member, board member and Sunday school teacher at the churches she attended. She spoke at many spiritual retreats across the country, led Bible studies and wrote curriculum. However, her identity was not grounded in what she did, but in who she was. She was a wonderful mother and in love with her husband. She was a devoted disciple of Christ which led her to give herself away to others. What will easily be remembered for years to come is her faith, and the hope to which that faith pointed.
