Nita Rae Bohanan, 91, resident of Bethany, OK since 1950, passed away September 23, 2022. She was born May 23, 1931 in Bethany, OK to John E Perryman, Sr. and Laura (Yeats) Perryman. She married Cecil Ray Bohanan, June 20, 1953 in Mineral Wells, TX. They were married for 55 years, until his death in 2010. She taught first grade for most of her 35-year career. She retired from Oklahoma City Public Schools in 1988. In retirement, she worked with her husband in their antique glassware and glass collectables store in Oklahoma City. The store was her way of staying active. She enjoyed meeting people and made many friends through the store. She is survived by her son Dale Bohanan and wife Denice. Viewing will be Tuesday Sept. 27, 9am - 8pm, with the family present from 6:30 - 7:30pm at Mercer-Adams. Graveside service will be Wed. Sept. 28 at 2:00pm at Bethany Cemetery. .
