Nellie "Irene" Stafford, 92, of Bethany passed away on January 13, 2025. She was born on February 4, 1932 in Okarche, OK. After graduating from El Reno High School, she married M. Dale Stafford on August 12, 1950. Irene and Dale went on to have three children, Larry, Randy and Lynn. Dale and Irene were married for 74 years.

Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by family, caring for and loving on each of them.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Newton and Nellie Randall; and her sister, Viola (Randall) Schweitzer. She is survived by her husband, Dale of Bethany; children, Larry Stafford and wife Karen of Oklahoma City, Randy Stafford of Norman, and Lynn Denny and husband Marvin of Edmond, OK; brothers, Laurance Randall and Tom Randall; sister, Leota Harman; and three grandchildren, Jenny Hausam-Cummings and husband Sean of Aurora, CO, Breana Bradley and husband Jared of OKC, and Morgan McCandless and husband, Jake of OKC. She also left a legacy of 3 great-grandchildren, Cohen Hausam, Porter Bradley and Paisley Bradley.

Irene was a fierce protector of her family but she had the sweetest smile for everyone. She was always grateful for all the help others gave her. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed, but we know we will see her again.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2:00pm, at St. Mark's Methodist Church, 8140 NW 36, Bethany, OK. Viewing will begin at 1:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
