Obituary

Nancy L. Adkins of Oklahoma City peacefully passed away on March 8th. She was born on December 10, 1944 to Orville and Esther Gausman. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma City University. From 1967-1976 she worked in the US probation office for the Western District of Oklahoma. In 1976 she was appointed legal secretary to Chief US District Judge, Frederick A. Daugherty. In 1996 she was appointed Deputy court clerk for the US Bankruptcy court until her retirement in 2008. She loved to travel, eat out at restaurants and spend time with close family and friends. Nancy will be remembered for her gentle spirit and compassionate nature. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Ben of over 33 years; daughter, Kristin of Dallas; son, Brian of Oklahoma City; brother, Larry Gausman and wife Barbara of Mustang; sister, Sue Lute and husband Ronnie of Edmond and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Esther Gausman and brother, Wayne Gausman. Visitation will be Mon., March 11 at Mercer-Adams in Bethany from 9am to 9pm with the family present from 6-8pm. Service will be held Tues., March 12 at 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
