Miriam "Mimi" Elizabeth (Blailock) Metz was born on April 5, 1930 in Wynne, AR to Frank Lyon and Montie Inez Blailock. She died unexpectedly at her home on December 31, 2014. Mimi was raised in Wynne, Shreveport, Texarkana and Oklahoma City. She graduated from Classen High School in OKC in 1948. After working several years as a secretary, Mimi married Verl John Metz, Sr. on November 14, 1954. They made their home in Drumright then moved to Tulsa where they started their family. They then lived in Omaha, Kansas City, Denver, Memphis and Oklahoma City. Mimi was a long time member of Putnam City Baptist Church where she worked in childcare for many years. Mimi was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children, Verl "John" Metz, Jr., Frank "Randy" Metz, Karen Elizabeth Murray and husband Tom and Sharon Ann Wright and husband Mike; grandchildren, Zach Murray, Katie Booth and husband Justin, Molly Murray, Andrew Wright and Annie Wright; and great-grandchild, Eloise Claire Booth.
