Obituary

Heaven claimed a precious angel June 12, 2013. Nadine was born March 23, 1930 in Eakly, Oklahoma to James L. and Florence Hixon. Even though she was always a tiny woman, her spirit and enthusiasm was greater than her stature. She retired after many years with Boatmen's and First Interstate Banks. Her priority in life was to love her Heavenly Father and serve Jesus Christ. She was a long-standing member of Putnam City Baptist Church. She was involved in many outreach programs in the community. Her dedication to her church, children, family and friends was endless. She was always known as a "spitfire." She was preceded in death by her son, Edwin Lee; daughter, Patricia Ann; brothers, Bernard A. Hixon, James L. Hixon, Jr., John F. Hixon; and sister Velda L. Russell. Nadine is survived by her daughter, Diana S. Nelson and husband James; son, George A. Leflett; granddaughter, Rita P. Young; and sister, Rosamond "Bobbie" Bybee. "Aunt Deanie" was loved by many nieces and nephews. Nadine's memorial service will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany. Memorial Service Saturday, June 15, 2013 10:30 AM Mercer-Adams Chapel 3925 N. Asbury Bethany, OK 73008
