Obituary

Michael Andrew Earley, 75, beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, nephew, and friend to many, died October 18, 2020 in his home from natural causes. He was born March 20th, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK to Patrick A. and Mary C. Earley. Growing up, Mike and his family lived in several cities and he was a proud 1963 graduate of Rockhurst High in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended multiple universities as he worked his way through college but graduated from the University of Missouri in 1970 with a degree in Zoology. He spent most of his career working as a Medical Technologist at various hospitals and laboratories in Oklahoma City but also spent a short time in sales and was even a talk radio host for a Christian station in Midwest City. Michael was a history buff and general philomath but was especially known for his love of the history of WWII in which his father had served. He had many hobbies over the years which he loved to share with his children including but not limited to kite flying, bicycle riding, building model airplanes, and golf. His sense of humor was legendary. He loved the Lord and his family very deeply and sincerely and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Earley, and granddaughter, Abby Earley. Survivors include his sons, Charles Earley, Douglas Schumpert, Patrick Earley, and Joseph Earley and wife Christina; daughter Sarah Earley Smith and husband Carson; 9 grandchildren, Christian, Sarah, Gracie, Chloe, Eleanor, Elias, Evelyn, Ezra, and Edison; sister, Eileen Earley Tran and husband Danh; brother, Timothy Earley and wife Debbie; aunt, Diana Cobb Ray; nephews, Thomas Earley, and James Earley; and niece, Mary Margaret Earley. Visitation with family present will be Thursday, 6-8pm, at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, October 23, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Calvary Cemetery, Shawnee, OK. The service will be live-streamed and available to watch on this obituary page the day of the service. .
