Obituary

Meredith Richards, 88, peacefully passed from this life to go to her heavenly home on Friday, April 10, 2020. She was born on December 22, 1931, in Frederick OK, to Oscar and Mary Nicks. Meredith Nicks was working as a secretary in downtown Oklahoma City when she met the love of her life, Ralph Lee Richards. They were married on April 2nd, 1953 in Oklahoma City. They started a home in Warr Acres where they had two sons, Paul Calvert and Thomas Neal. Over the years they were transferred for Ralph's job at Fleming Foods to Houston TX, Topeka KS, and ended up back in Oklahoma City in 1973. Meredith loved being a mother, decorating her home in antiques and tole painting. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and spread his gospel to everyone she met. She was active in Precept Ministries and taught Sunday School as well as Home Bible Studies. There were countless lives that were touched by her faith in Jesus. In 2009, she moved to Epworth Villa where she made many friends and fond memories. Meredith was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph. She is survived by her son, Paul, granddaughters, Mandy Maples and husband Paul, and Carie Rush and husband Tony; son, Tom and wife Elizabeth, grandson, Jason and wife Chelsea, and granddaughter, Mary Johns and husband Tyler; as well as 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 15.
