Mel Timberman was born October 20, 1947 in Bridgeton, N.J. and died September 25, 2014 in Oklahoma City. He is survived by his son, Jody; daughter, Christine; sister, Ann and husband Jack; sister, Ruth; brother, Charlie and his wife Candy; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Nia. He was preceded in death by his son, Randy; and parents, Melvin and Mary. Mel was a proud member of the Choctaw tribe, and was a fan of Oklahoma football and Thunder basketball. He had a great love of music, played a variety of instruments, and was a talented guitarist. He counseled many troubled people over his lifetime and will be remembered fondly by those he assisted. Mel was loved by many and will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and sense of humor. Viewing will be Sunday, 11:00am - 9:00pm at Mercer-Adams.
