Maxine Webber was born on January 9, 1919 to Clare and Arthur Bert Corey in Oklahoma City, OK. She left her earthly life on August 18, 2011 to be happily reunited with her previously departed loved ones. She married her dear sweetheart and friend, Glenn Webber, on January 11, 1941, and together they partnered in the insurance business and bookkeeping business for many years. After retiring from that business, she worked for Integris (Baptist) Hospital for several more years. She enjoyed reading and studying Gods Word. She loved to knit and sew and do other crafts, and she loved to play Canasta and Bridge with the girls. But, most of all, she loved being with her family, especially the grandkids and the greats. She was our sunshine, the uplifter of our lives and souls and our inspiration to love God, do the right thing and to care for others. She taught us to always look for the good in every person and every situation. We will truly miss her sweet, sweet spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of more than 63 years, Glenn, and by her precious great-granddaughter, Melaina Grace Cunningham. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Hawley and husband Harry, Susan Young and husband Bruce; granddaughters, Lesli Walsh, Kristin Emerson, Andrea Cunningham, and Keri Metoyer; nine great-grandchildren, Corey, Hannah, Sean, Reilly, Emma, Gabriella, Jonah, Lukas and Holland; and one great-great-granddaughter, Savannah. Our special appreciation goes to her wonderful friend and roommate, Marion Winters and to her loving friend, Marge Ratzlaff who faithfully sent her notes of love and encouragement. We would also like to thank the Reverend Price Grimes for his spiritual guidance. We can never adequately express our appreciation to all the staff at both St. Ann Nursing Home and Good Shepherd Hospice for their love and care. Visitation will be from 11am-9pm, Sunday, August 21, with the family receiving guests from 2-5pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. A Service of the Word and Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Nursing Home Chapel, 9400 St. Ann Drive on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 2:00pm, with burial immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
