Our Beloved Mother, Mattie Fay Austin of Bethany, passed away Friday, May 22,2020. She was a Mother, Mama, and Aunt Cookie. She spent her life caring for others no matter how small or big it was. She was a devoted Christian and prayed for everyone she knew. Mattie is survived by children, Tammy Pickens and Rick Sepeda, Robin and Rob George, Robbie and Samantha Austin, Penny and Kevin Nagy, and Tiffany Austin; grandchildren, Rechelle, Mitchell, Candice, Joseph, Kristeven & Brandon, Lindsay & Brad, Kamber & Johnny, Kayla & Seth, Brianna, Paige, Ty, Sean, Emily, and Kasidey; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Mason, Marshall, Aiden, Taigen, and Madelyn "Maddie"; sisters, Betty Covert and husband Ray, and Donna Kling; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Austin; sister, Dorthy; brothers, Freddie and Ed; and loving parents, Lonzo and Virginia Clark. Viewing will be Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 9am to 7pm with the family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. We will be holding a private funeral due to social distancing and limited gatherings.
