Mary Lynn Everson Warnock was born on Wednesday, June 16, 1943, in Wichita, KS. She was welcomed to this world by her parents, LaVerne and Gwen Everson, and her big brother, Rodney. Mary was a precocious little towhead. Even at a very young age she was always busy, showing a penchant for perfection. Her school years were begun in Naponee, NE, continued in Bagio, Philippine Islands and Jewell, KS and she graduated from Jewell High School in 1961. After high school, Mary completed a summer semester at Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS before she moved to California. Mary was a good student and enjoyed learning throughout her life. On September 1, 1961 Mary married Jerry L. Collie. They were blessed with two daughters: Brenda Lynn and Kimberly Rene. The marriage did not last, however, and Mary single-parented her daughters for many years. She and the girls moved several times during their childhoods. They lived in Jewell, KS; Denver, Co; Kansas City, KS and Tulsa, OK while Mary worked at a variety of jobs. Her creative talents were always useful no matter where her employment took her. After working for Union Pacific Railroad for many years, she moved to Salina, KS and worked with her son-in-law at Carquest. While living in Salina, she met Jim Warnock. They were married on December 23, 2000, in a beautiful evening ceremony that, of course, was planned, organized, crafted and styled by Mary. In 2006, after a devastating fire destroyed their home in Wichita, KS, Jim and Mary moved to Piedmont, OK. Oklahoma was home to Jim and soon became home to Mary as well. They found good friends to enjoy, a church to attend, and had plenty of projects to keep both of them busy. They had great affection for their pet schnauzers, Gretchen and Fred, and always had their dogs at their side. Sadly, Jim died unexpectedly following surgery in October of 2011. Mary continued to live in their home until her health necessitated that she move to Plano, TX, to live with her daughter, Kim. After many of years declining health, Mary went home to the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the age of 72 years and 8 months. She leaves behind the following family and many friends to mourn their loss and rejoice that she no longer suffers: Daughters: Brenda Haase and her husband, Greg, of Salina, KS, Kim Collie-Nelson of Plano, TX; Stepdaughters: Michelle Baldwin and her husband Bryan of Enid, OK, and Jaquita Warnock of Wichita Falls, TX; Stepson: James Warnock and his wife Paula of Wichita Falls, TX; Granddaughters: Lauryn Simas and husband, Court of Colleyville, TX, Kelsey Haase of Salina, KS and Morgan Haase of Carrollton, TX, Abigail Nelson, Lydia Nelson, and Sarah Nelson of Plano, TX; Step-grandchildren: Cheyenne Baldwin, Autumn Beebe, and Charlotte Baldwin of Enid, OK and Kaleb Cummings and Emily Burlison of Wichita Falls, TX; great grandchildren: Aubrey Beebe of Enid, OK, Mekhi and Cora Simas and Ezra and Brooklyn Cox; Brother: Rodney Everson and his wife Gail of Tracy, CA; and Sister: Nola Everson of Salina, KS.
