Mary Anne (Martel) Ruggles went to be her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 16, 2023. She was born in Winooski, Vermont on April 8, 1943 to Arthur and Maria Martel. She graduated from Essex Junction High School, class of 1961. Mary began her career working for Chittendon Bank in Burlington, VT and later went to work for IBM Corporation in Essex Junction, VT. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Ruggles on July 9, 1968 and they moved to Fusa Mache, Japan. While expecting their first daughter, she and Kenneth returned to the U.S. and lived in Lincoln, Nebraska and later in Oklahoma City. After many years of service, Mary retired from Liberty Mortgage Company. She was a woman of many accomplishments, having been a licensed realtor, small business owner and Toastmaster. Mary was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she served as eucharistic server and sacristan. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clement Martel and Gerard Martel; and sisters, Lucille Boutin, Jean Burnette and Paulene Palady. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of 55 years; daughters, Tamara Sigler and husband David, and Stephanie Ruggles; four grandchildren, Abrielle and Connor Sigler and Benjamin and Gabriel Winter; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Fr. Tim Lucien, Dr. Fasal Nasr and the Integris Hospice team for their loving support. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, July 21 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 5024 N. Grove, with interment to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7801 NW Expressway. .
