Mary Mendez, age 91, of Oklahoma City, went into the arms of the Heavenly Father, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Tuesday May 30, 2023. Mary was born on August 12, 1931 in Kiefer, Oklahoma to the late Arthur V. and Crissy Nevada (Flanagan) Sager. Mary was raised in the Christian faith and was a lifelong believer. Mary graduated from Shawnee High School and after graduation joined an oil and gas company in Oklahoma City as a secretary. She later worked for Mercy Hospital and retired after more than 20 years with Mercy. Mary is survived by her children, Robert (Kathy) Mendez II, Rick (Tracy) Mendez, Theresa Mendez Booze, and Mike Mendez; her grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin) Helm, Kristina (Jason) Egnor, Trevar Woods, Dylan Woods, Trevor Mendez and Grace Booze; her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Trinity, Alivia, Kennamarie, Timothy Daniel, Brody and Jasi Jo; her brother, Robert Dall Sager; nephew, Gary Sager; niece, Pam Sager; and many other nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mendez, Sr.; her parents; her brothers, Jack Sager and Vernon Sager; and her sister, Faye Ellen (Sager) Adams. A private service will be arranged by Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, Oklahoma with interment at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
