Mary Dell (Firestone) Lindley was born on March 11, 1934 in Arpelar, OK to W.H. Firestone and Bertha (Anderson) Firestone and died Friday, August 17, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Imogene Lee; and her brothers, Orville and R.T. Firestone. Mary Dell is survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Firestone; her husband of 60 years, Bob Lindley; her son, David Lindley; her daughter in-law, Gina Lindley; and her grandsons, Luke and Cameron Lindley. Her husband's work took them to live in Little Rock, AR; Lovington, NM; Fort Worth, TX; Springfield MO; Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and Oklahoma City, OK where she has lived the past 30 years. She attended schools at Arpelar, Ok and Haywood, OK. Musically and artistically gifted, she brought joy to the lives of many people serving as a church organist and pianist and in giving to others her delicate handcrafted crochet work. Her greatest satisfaction was in her son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. Although she was an invalid for about 10 years and confined to her home, she thoroughly enjoyed the worship service CD's of the United Methodist Church of the Servant, where she was a member. The family extends special thanks and appreciation to her personal caregiver, Martha Thomas. The funeral service will be Tuesday August 21, 2012 at 12:30pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, OK. She will be buried in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum in Oklahoma City, OK.
