Mary Lou Lechtenberg, 86, died June 2, 2014. She was born March 2, 1928 in McAlester, OK to Eugene and Sally Jane (Mathis) Nichols. She graduated with honors from St. John's Catholic School. She was a secretary and homemaker, and a member of Church of the Epiphany. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lorene Harvey, Georgia Odom, Emogene Harris, Jimmie Nell Nichols, Geneva Evans; husband of 45 years, W.R. "Lex" Lechtenberg (veteran of WWII); brother, Valder "Buddy" Nichols; and beloved niece, Ruth Jane Harris. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Lechtenberg; son, Mark Lechtenberg and wife Belinda; sisters, Ruth Akin and Melodise Reed; 4 grandchildren, Tanner, Shelby, Ebby and Tiken; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, June 6, 2:00pm at Church of the Epiphany, 7336 W. Britton Rd., OKC, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
