An angel on loan to earth was recalled to heaven on Sunday, Nov. 17. She was a kind and gracious woman who lived to please and serve others. No matter what the circumstances, she never lost her sense of humor and always found the best in everyone. She was born in Camargo, Oklahoma June 26, 1917 to Waite and Pearl Secrest. She lost her father and sister to influenza in 1919. The death of her father and uncle caused her mother and her to live with her aunt, Myrtle Richardson and cousins, Mary Gwendolyn and Elizabeth. Their bond was so close they were really like sisters and remained so until they both preceded Mary Lee in death. She spent most of her youth in Woodward, Oklahoma and graduated from High School and Junior College there. She married Dick I. Killgore and they had the most loving and caring romance till they were parted by his death. They lived in Regina, Saskatchewan, Calgary, Alberta, Denver, Colorado, and Oklahoma City. They loved to travel and enjoyed trailer adventures traveling all over the United States and Canada. She was mother to Richard and Kelly to whom she poured out her love and efforts till the minute of her passing. Both of them know that she still is looking over them. She treasured her daughter-in-laws, Louann, Richard's wife and Carol, Kelly's wife. Her grandchildren, Jefferson Killgore and his wife Kristin, Carly Weisegerber and husband Adam, and Wade Killgore were a delight to her and she to them. In recent years, she was blessed with three great-grandchildren, Siri and Cadel Killgore and Lars Weisegerber. Though many of her friends and family have preceded her in death, she has left an equal number to mourn, miss, and celebrate the happiness that she brought into this world. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Memorial Christian Church. The service will be at Mercer Adams in Bethany at 2:00pm Monday.
