Mary Janelle Botchlet Jones (a/k/a "Mum-Mum") left her life on earth to be with the Lord on April 4, 2012. She was surrounded by family upon her passing, which is exactly what she would have wanted. Born on November 26, 1950, in Norman, OK, Mary graduated from Bishop McGuinness High School in 1969 and later obtained a business degree from Southern Nazarene University. Mary and her husband Bill were married on May 28, 1971, and resided in Oklahoma City, OK. For many years, Mary worked from home as a seamstress, which afforded her the opportunity to be home with her children. Mary later went to work with the City of Bethany and recently celebrated 25 years of service. She began working for the City as the Secretary to the Chief of Police and most recently as the Court Administrator. She was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and assisting in the Holiday Program for several years. The only thing Mary enjoyed more than working in her gardens, visiting the beach, and a good glass of wine was being with family. She made it a point to bring the family together at least three times a year with her annual Mardi Gras party, pool party, and Thanksgiving. Creating these lasting memories with those she loved most brought her an indescribable happiness. She will forever be remembered for welcoming all into her home with open arms, as evidenced by the large number of her children's friends that she "adopted" over the years. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, William E. Jones II of Oklahoma City, OK, and five adoring children: Ami (Jones) Arthur and husband Kyle of Norman, OK; Casey Jones and wife Sommer of Piedmont, OK; and Tom Jones, Molly Jones, and Nick Jones of Oklahoma City, OK. Mary also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Emelyn and Eric Arthur of Norman, OK; Moses, Lazarus, and River Jones of Piedmont, OK; Christopher John "CJ" Patton of Jones, OK; Hudson Jones of Oklahoma City, OK; and Shea and Summer George of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by her mother Florence Botchlet of Bethany, OK; brother Don Botchlet of Oklahoma City, OK; and sisters Gloria Criser and Marla Nix of Oklahoma City, OK, and Gina Newlin of Bethany, OK. Mary was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Botchlet and sister Diane Amiraslani. Services will be held Monday, April 9, 2012, at 10am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Oklahoma City.
