Mary Jo Johnson, 74, died October 14, 2008. She was born August 13, 1934 in Talala, Oklahoma to Willard and Josephine (Clark) Rusk. A member of Western Oaks Christian Church, she belonged to the Christian Womens Fellowship and chaired numerous church activities. She enjoyed playing Bridge with close friends and loved to travel. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Daryle "Tommy" Johnson, she is survived by her daughter, Summer Powers and husband Steve; son, Daryle Johnson; brother, Harold Rusk; sister-in-law, Pauline Johnson; 4 grandchildren, A.J. and Nathan Powers, Wyatt and Charlie Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, October 17, 1:00 p.m. at Western Oaks Christian Church with interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Western Oaks Christian Church Memorial Fund.
